Files are usually encoded in proprietary H.264, MPEG4, MPJEG formats such that users can view only by installing those factory CODECs. ISO standard H.264, MPEG4 players cannot be used. Security video for surveillance are feature rich, such as continuous recording 24x7 or record only when there is motion; support pan-tilt-zoom cameras; can easily retrieve files during playback based on recorded time; support multiple cameras (as much as 64 streams per PC). HISTORY
BerClare Multimedia Inc. was established in 1993. At that time, MPEG and the Internet was relatively unknown. BernClare was one of the few "high tech" company to start distributing products on MPEG1 for VCD, then, MPEG 2 for DVD, and in late 1997, video streaming over the LAN. BernClare started its first web address, www.bernclare.com in 1997.
BernClare was one of the first to distribute video surveillance product from GeoVision in 2000, then AverMedia. By 2003, in search of H.264 hardware encoders, BernClare joined venture with IDLVR in China, ShenZhen to market PC based ILDVR cards and cctv cameras. In 2007, ILDVR and BernClare start to market H264 based standalone NVRs, IP video cameras, IP servers, and Central Management software for cctv surveillance. BernClare is also a strong distributor on broadcast or webcast product, SD and HD from Optibase, Viewcast, Digital Rapids, Vitec. BernClare has been well known for its experienced support on broadcast quality video encoding and streaming.
